      • Does older ZMA R comes with 225 cc engine? rather than a 223 cc? Any difference in performance?

        @Kollam ZMA R owners: Diya motors have got a good reputation for availability of Karizma R spares . But bad for their service .

        How do you know if its time to change the swing arm bush ? And what are the causes for changing it? . And what is the price for clutch cable and accelerator cable?

        @Viekarizma : Enjoy riding ZMA R more and more .

        • @ Vivekarizma Glad you enjoyed the ZMA's ride ...The ZMA is famous for the around the world trip, so is a dependable tourer..You can order the bigger battery cage with SVC or spares dealers outside,or get it fabricated...
          @Vishakh the ZMA from 2003 till now has the same 223cc engine, and the difference is that with R model one extra clutch plate was supposed to have been added and ignition timing tamed...the older ZMA till 2005 had aggressive ignition timing while the later models have comparatively passive timing for better FE.

            No, cause battery has seperate warranty and engine has seperate warranty.

            Lol... Funny question.
            ZMA Borrows engine from the CRF230 and guess what it's also the same 223cc engine, there never was any 225cc variant... The company says its 225cc that doesnt mean its exact 225cc, it means that it comes under the 225cc category. Just like the FZ16 is 153cc but comes under the 160cc category...

              Thank you sir..1 more question who all have put in 9 ah batery in their zma. If I change the battery to a 9ah one, do I need to change the stock rectifier??
              @Vishakh: clutch cable=75rs,Accelerator cable A=70,B=80.

                  I have put a 9Ah battery in my 2010 ZMAR but haven't changed the RR . Have changed H/L bulbs to 55/60W and have added on the horn load but it works without any trouble . All the electricals are fine so far .But now , I'm wondering whether the RR should be swapped with one of higher capacity - to get max gains from the 9Ah battery .
                  @ Aneesh@4GHz - If I remember correctly , you too have changed to 9Ah .

                    No need to do a change of RR unit.
                    The RR in stock ZMA with stock battery will get very hot during night time with all lamp loads...
                    It is best to fit a thick Aluminum plate behind the RR unit to enable heat dissipation...preferably 2 or 3mm thick Aluminum sheet of appropriate size will help...I had done this in my ZMA and still find the RR unit becoming very hot in night time driving...
                    If you have doubts, ride for at least 30 minutes in night through traffic ,return home immediately open seat and to the right corner you will see the RR unit...Just touch it and feel the heat.

                        It is not easy to plonk as it would require some shifts in the electricals on the side apart from battery box/cage change.

                                Now bike makes the new whoosh..whoosh sound instead of the previous chil chil sound. But cant say anything cause will know only after the RUNIN.
                                And btw they said they've loosened something and they'll tighten it after 500kms.. Not sure what it was.
