I'm 6ft 2 , I'm perfectly happy with me ceeber, run about 16300 km on the odo, haven't had any back issues and in fact, I feel my suspension is damn good, like it absorbs most of the bumps n stuff seamlessly. Before u go for any bike, always test ride, back in 2014 I had only the option of CBR n duke 200, duke 390 back then had a lot of issues like overheating, mileage probs, etc, I felt the duke 200 was too small for me and it struggled to past 115-120 with me, felt the ceeber has a lot of potential and, I like to performance enhance my bikes ,it has plenty to offer, either ways now u have a lot of options like r3, benelli, etc but test ride every bike and see what fits ur budget n need.

About the oil now.. When i check it wasnt showing any oil in the inspection window when the bike was straight, it only showed when i tilt the bike towards the right side.
As per me im guessing the oil in the engine was around 1ltr before the top up and after the top up its now slightly exceeding the Higher line on the oil inspecting window.
So it should be like around half a ltr of oil i had put for top up.

My bike has done some 28k odd kms.

            Thanks

The oil should be checked with the bike straight, not on the side stand! What I do is tilt the bike from the side stand with the handlebar straight and kneel down, keeping the bike such that it doesn't tilt on either side.

If you have overfilled the oil, perhaps it could cause the oil seals to leak?

Yeah i check it with the bike straight.
So you mean that could be the reason for the coolant to leak from weep hole ?

Anyway guys i checked with the svcs none of them are having mechanical/oil seal atm, and asking me to wait for a week or more but i had some new year plans, so can anything be done? Like a DIY or something ?
              Please help [emoji20]

Depends on the availability of spares, far as I know, benelli service n staff are pretty good, the TNT 250 is priced at 1.65 standard n 1.85-1.95 premium, duno about the difference.
One thing benelli still don't offer ABS on any of their bikes, soo choose wisely, have a test ride, see what suits you n ur riding style n pick up according to that.

                    Thanks Aman,

Few updates on the issues I had :

Horn going weak : There are 2 horns on the bike manufactured post 2013, one is high and one is low, the clip on the low horn was broken and was attached to the horn wire with very minor contact, hence the horn was getting low. brought the OEM horn cost rs 197 and everything is in place now.

Engine feeling restricted : I do not know if I am thinking too much on this, when I fill the tank from Shell Pune(v-power) the engine behaves like it is restricted and when I went to Mumbai on Friday and filled the tank there with normal petrol from BPCL and the engine behaves normally, no restriction thing here. I suspect high octane fuel (v-power) causing this. GURUs your opinions here. Although we are aware that higher octane does not give any advantages. I just fill one full tank of premium fuel once a month so that things are a bit clean inside.

ECU cutting off while blipping the throttle : Will get it serviced in the next oil change in January '16.

Coneset : Finally got it replaced completely, the part which was installed is marked as made in japan(1600rs) and those conset differ from the ones manufactured in India(1100rs) by SKF. hope to see good results with the Japanese make. both Japanese and Indian make differ a lot.

Still hunting for tapered bearings from SKF so that budget junta can take advantages of it including me as all balls are way too expensive.

                    Cheers,
                    Sanjay

V Power is not high octane. Its 91 RON , same as normal unleaded fuel.

Guys.. I have a peculiar doubt. I noticed some cbr250 owners change their visor/ windshield to double bubble or some other one. I am 5'6, 85 kg and have never faced any wind blast even at 145 kmph. I only crouch to reach top speed, that too my helmet is above the windscreen at all times even then.

Last month I rode a 660 kms in 13 hours, 400 kms of which I spent riding above 120 kmph. But I never felt tired while riding at those speeds.

Is there anybody else who does not feel any wind blast on the cbr250? Is this due to my short height?

                          Hi Guys,

I am planning to Buy R15 v2 but I wanted to know if someone here has experience riding CBR250 along with R15.
I want to know which one has a smoother engine aka lesser vibrations.

The basic version of CBR is not wayy too expensive and fits my budget.
Both bikes have their pros and cons so I wanted to get to the factor/s that matter most to me.
I have posted this query in r15 thread too.

                          Your honest opinion is appreciated

At speeds of 110 and 120 kmph, CBR250 is very composed and windblast is very less (negligible) I am 6 ft. I cruise around 115-120 kmph when on long rides and it doesn't tire me at all.

And ofcourse to attend the top speed you will have to crouch be it full blown litre class. Supersports or quarter litre.

The double bubble IMHO is just for asthetics as CBRs windshield.is more than enough till 120kmph speeds.

                            Cheers,

Both bikes have similar sort of vibrations there is no significant difference as both are single pot. The advantage of cbr250 over r15 is as below

                              1. DOHC setup
                              2. Higher speeds cruising capabilities, can do 120+ all day long.
                              3. Riding position is bang on, no compromise on comfort.
                              4. Better pillion seat.
                              5. Superb highway machine.

You should post your query in what bike section and these are two diff bikes comparing them head on will.always have CBR as the winner, no matter what.
