Powder coating in Hyderabad is done only in Balanagar. I had got it done to my bike's silencer but it doesn't stay due to the heat.
I also got the color of my rims changed by my painter in Sec'bad but that is a regular paint with clear coating on top.
What is it that you are looking for?

Sure Aman... Do you want matt black paint or powder coating to be done on rims... Sarvajit has got his bike(R15) painted a few months back and he would be right person for this.

You can find WD-40 in most hardware shops. You can find them in shops down SP Road, after the computer / electronic stores as well.

          • Hello guys!
After my last Sunday trip to Hyderabad I again went to Hyderabad yesterday. Started at 6.15am from Karimnagar with the odo showing 581km and with a full tank. Again maintained the 80/5000 ceiling and reached at 9am. Didn't use the bike in city and as I wanted to test the bike in a complete night riding I started off to Karimnagar at 10pm maintaining the 80/5000 benchmark reached at 1am.
Head lamp was quite adequate and I felt comfortable with the illumination
Brakes were just superb, as I had to use them a lot with the 4 laning of the highway in progress throughout the 160 km stretch.
            FE= 905-581=324/8.34lts(tankful to tankful)= 38.9
Still not able to ride the bike continuously for more than an hour without feeling discomfort owing to the sitting posture!
Torque is fantastic and can overtake any vehicle with ease, my handicap being my self imposed 80/5000 ceiling!
Planning to give the vehicle for the first servicing in a day or two, have not decided whether to stay put with mineral or go for FS
Planning to put a mud flap in the front with the monsoon approaching to guard the radiator
Hope no new problem crops up after servicing!!
            Wish me luck!

            • To the Bangalore guys here, anyone got their bike from saphire honda, bannerghatta road? If yes, how's the customer service? Im planning to go for a cbr next month, went through the thread and found that saphire honda, JP nagar is the place to buy for better service support etc etc. Ive had some worst experiences with silicon honda before so I need to be careful this time around.
Any sort of advice is welcome and appreciated

Personally, I would also suggest Sapphire Honda, JP Nagar.
Regarding Sales, almost every other showroom in Bangalore is more or less the same. But when it comes to Servicing, Sapphire, JP Nagar is The Best. The Service Manager and the Mechanic over there are really very good guys. And you can even stand next to your bike when its getting serviced.

                      • Guys ..2 days back , the mechanic @ Rohan Honda told me that i am the new member of the " unsung heroes of faulty shims war group. " .

bike has done 3200 kms . There is a lot of vibration of handle bars when riding between 4 -5 k rpm...waiting for spares .. few Qs..

                        1. will it negatively affect the bike if I continue to drive in this state while spares become available. ..?

                        2. Is this problem only because of faulty shims ..or something else which is in turn wear n tearing the shims ...as in will this problem surface again soon, after shims are replaced ??

                        3. How much hit does performance take due to faulty shims ??

                        • suddely after 700 km odd. .there is a new problem cropping up in the bike.. between 3k -4k rpm the bike feels running out of fuel. as soon as it crosses 4k its all good and this is very prominent is 1st and 2nd gear.

has it to do anything with the fuel supply else ECU or air flow.

also the bike feels running stressed..

bike will be going for service this weekend. any pointers what can be checked for the same.

also we guys had loads of discussion about "shims" anything needs to be checked at the first service. its close to 900 on odo.

Please don't take things lightly. It is not that you should not ride your bike till the shims are changed. Its just that don't do sudden acceralation. Be very gradual when increasing your speed. And yes if the shims are to be replaced then, your pick up, your top speed as well as your mileage will definately take a beating.
