Its rested for a day.....I'll see how it is tomorrow or the day after. Its been a week since 2nd service. Changed to motul 3000 plus 20w40 this time. I guess checking is not necessary. I havent had any noticeable smoother-ness than gulf.

        • I've done all the payments today. It cost around 64K without registration. I've to do all RTO procedures my self as my RTO is different.

I'll get my bike by Thursday evening. But I'll take it only by Friday as it is a Good day.

It took around 3 weeks to get confirmation of my the Black GS. If I opt for any other colors, they were ready to give that in the same date.

Try braking with 40:60, less rear brakes and more front. It gives much more control over braking distance and time.

                  • Hi,
Since i didn't give my bike for servicing for the last 80 days or so now, there seems to be a lot of dirt in the bottom part of the bike, any tips on how to wash the bike ??

Usually i only used to wash the blue painted parts with a hose (not much pressure like the hoses at the SC though) and put wax liquid, but now its like mud has come all over swing arm and shock absorbers and engine, and there's some spider webs behind the head light.
Can i spray water behind the headlight area (lot of wiring there)
And how do i clean the fins on the engine too ?

I was thinking of using oil to rub the dirt off the rims and engine, is that a good idea ??

(i know, this post is kinda stupid considering that i had the bike for 1.5 years, but till now the SC used to wash and polish the rims and engine and stuff)

Considering the condition of your bike, my advice is to give it to the service centre for washing, this time. Afterwards, wash and polish it yourself, using a good car shampoo and polish.

If you want the bike to last long keep it stock..any performance modification will shorten engine life....All ICE are designed with a set of operating parameters for safe and long life of engine and it's owner....

                            • Teflon Coating !!!

Guys, I have noted that the Teflon coating is showing some signs of flaking. I have spotted couple of points, I think they are due to spillage of petrol, aren't they?

How can i remove this? Is it advisable to give another Teflon coating to make it glossy

My bike ODO reads 11700 kms now, service is due on 28th Jan (8th service). I'm thinking of replacing air filter, oil filter, fork oil and changing the spark plug to NGK Iridium.

There are some tints of rust below the visor(chassis). Can I ask them to paint them? Please provide your inputs....

                                New troubles concerning Teflon !!!
Anup bhai, the company that coated my bike said that before going for a new Teflon, they usualy remove the scar or marks to the old teflon by solubilising the layer with some chemical........ask your tefloners for this .
