The difference between normal fuel & branded fuel (speed, power, xtra premium) is that branded fuels are higher octane fuels. The difference is that higher octane fuels - like power/speed - have a tendency to decrease engine-knocking and burn without detonating.
These fuels are best suited if your vehicle's engine has a higher compression ratio (check your vehicle manual).
For your bike, it depends on the engine. If your bike has a high compression ratio, a low octane fuel (normal ones are 85-87 octane) will cause more engine knocking. Speed/Power/Xtra Premium (90-91 octane) will reduce engine knocking & will give you better performance if you operate your bike at high rpm's.
Overall, if you have a 100cc bike, high octane fuel'll do you no good. But if you have a performance bike like the Apache RTR-Fi160, you must go for branded fuels.
150cc & above bikes have a higher compression ratio. My Fiero F2 has a 9.4:1 compression ratio & the RTR Fi160 has a 9.5:1 ratio.
You must've heard that superbikes can't use normal fuels. Thats because they have ratio's reaching 12:1. So they need 100 octane or even more.
If you have a bike with a high compression ratio, use premium fuels. Your engine will perform much better when compared to unleaded fuel. For a low performing bike, scooter or a scooty, these'll be useless. Hope you've got your answer. Don't listen to people without any technical knowledge.
Higher octane fuel may even increase your mileage by a few Kms, though its not necessary.

(typical careless/ignorant attitude from TVS svc)

.. I was confused with which fuel to use from day 1..
.I went back to svc to get it inspected, they told that the pads are worn out.
The best thing to do is, befriend a mechanic in TVS svc.
