Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Hi guys, I'm running on Shell AX 7 10w40 semi synth. Its been about 700kms now. I feel the oil is thinning out a lot. I feel the friction when I downshift generally. To add more to that, the weather in Bangalore has gone nuts. Should I just let it be or get it changed/topped up?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I have the same issues with my bike. If you could make a video of what you are going to do with the cleaning part and share it, it will be a big help.Originally posted by sachinsjois View PostWell, I'll try that this weekend and let you know what happens.. Not completely sure about the dirt part though..it was working totally fine before battery recharge..

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
For wrapping / vinyls no need to change the color as the original color is still there on the bike.Originally posted by sambit View PostAnd applied for any change in RC card??

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I am planning to change the battery to AMARON. The dealer is giving the battery for rs 1700, after exchange of my old battery.Originally posted by prateek2210 View Postget a volt meter and check the output. It should be 12Amp
if not change the battery, I have used Amaron, works good
But the battery manufacturing date is Aug 2015. Should i go with this battery or purchase a battery which has a manufacturing date after Feb 2016.Last edited by hemnath; 04-06-2016, 02:18 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
My RTR was making some noise from the sprocket area whenever i accelerate the bike, sounds something like kat.....kat......
On getting it inspected with ASC mechanic, he suggested that sprocket/chain has started worning and that's the reason for this noise.
Would it damage my bike if i continue riding it without chaging the sprocket set?
Service centre guys advise to continue riding as chain/sprocket is not completely worned out (as per the wear indicator near rear sprocket)
My previous bike has run for around 30k+ kms and still chain/sprocket didnt make any such noise.
My bike has just has 8k mileage. Most of my route is uphill/downhill.
Can apache's sprocket set can worn out so quickly?Honda Activa (2011)
