sorry to see you had an accident, but thank God you are safe...the front cowl needs change, or if you are the DIY guy, buy matching thickness plastic and make the rest of the missing part....even a large 3~4 inch PVC pipe can be bought, cut and shaped...heat of boilin water makes the PVC maleable and you shape it the way you want it...use Fewi Quick to stick...

Silencer cover shall cost Rs 800 for old model (black cover)...the Golden cover shall cost more ....and can be fit in earlier models of ZMR...

Visor - are you referring to Windshield it 300 Rs...and another one which i am thinking as Visor is headlight area..shall cost 2400 one piece...
I guess he is talking about the windshield.. which visor near headlight area are you talking about buddy??

if you are talking about the headlight assembly, i got it changed just 3 to 4 months back and it cost me 1500/-

Thanks a ton bro..... Estimation might come around Approx 15-16k....
And any idea about up sizing my front stock tire(80/100) slightly.... may be the next size.... just for a better road grip(stock is good but i feel next size would be better for cornering and wet roads)

Badly need all your suggestions as im kinda not satisfied with stock

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

        thanks for the info RaajD....

Its sad about the accident bro... glad that you are fine.... I feel sticking the parts wont last long
Its better to replace the broken parts.
On handling check for fork bend, split handles at SVC...
        Take care

Both headlight assembly and windshield(Visor) have been broken....

        Hi bro
Pirelli 120/80-18 costs around 4500/-. It is a bit expensive and i think its worth

I actually searched the whole of jc road and gave up. Later i came across a thread in xbhp that Sai iyengar tyres indiranagar might have it and i was lucky enough that they had only one unit.
        Thanks to XBhp

You can check out the below address and find out whether they can get it for you.It might take some time

I am lucky in that case. My office is just by the highway NH2, that my sole way to office and back to home. I cover a distance of 26Kms per day minimum. My minimum speed is never below 75 Kms/hr... Love riding to and fro from office.

one small question to people who have traveled across states.. do the traffic police create problems during any such rides ? coz ideally one would need an NOC while taking the vehicle to some other state.. any feedback guys ? I am planning to ride all the way to Hyderabad from Bangalore this weekend. But a bit confused due to RTO rules..

No issues dada. One can't carry an NOC for the whole country while touring. Collect/Carry toll receipts and petrol bunk slips as proof if asked!

Naah, its not "being lucky" doing long distances if it does not include the highway.
I do 48 kms daily (Hebbal to Mysore Road). But 90% is city!!!

Like mentioned earlier, all you need to make sure of is to carry your trip receipts. Also make sure ur other documents are in order. I would also suggest that you carry the original of your insurance copy, as on one of my earlier trips to hyderabad I was harrased a little for carrying only photocopy.

Thanks man..yes what you said makes sense.. in case of any violation usually cops ask for originals...even in the same city.. by rule or for harassment, but they do.. so its a must to carry the original papers when going out of the state..

Motorvehicle rules are different in every state. Nobody (I mean the police) is sure of the rules as a result. However, there a few set rules:

                            1. You don'r require NOC when it is a pass-through from one state to the other and thereafter (So, when constables try to corner you, tell them upfront that you know there's no fee for a pass-through. YOu don't need to pay a single paisa.)

2 Even if you travle to a state and stay there for a month or so, you still don't need an NOC. Not untill 3 months.

I was asked to pay octroi at CST Mumbai, but I refused them plain straight and told them it's a pass-through and hence you can't charge me. I was given a receipt which mentioned a waiver for 1 month. But then, I was adament that I knew the rules.

Check https://vahan.nic.in/nrservices/ for all the rules.

Also, the last part, for safety - take a No Crime Report (NCR) certificate from Welcome to National Crime Records Bureau and through the left panel, select Vehicle Enquiry and proceed. It's a form which asks for reg number and chassis number to generate a certificate.

That's all I can recall for now.

Yamaha RD (The one which taught me what riding is; Can never forget this one)
Bajaj Caliber (The one closest to my heart; I still have it after 15 yrs !)
Yamaha R15 V2.0 (The best I had; Ah it let me become the college hunk I once used to be :) )
Hero Honda Karizma ZMR (The bike for the family man in me; The practical one; The current one)
