Having the same issue in my DTSI !

I thought maybe the old Spark Plugs not giving proper current but the problem is still after changing sparkplugs and Air Filter.

And you already changed oil gauge and all.

    No idea of the problem.
Bike run without a hitch on 70+ speed.
As I lower down near a Red Light or somewhere. It feels like someone is pushing the bike backwards or heavy item as pillion.

(2 days back I was so much irritated near Mulund area, that I did checked 3-4 times by turning around & touching the back seat that maybe something there :P)
And not even a miss / gap of acceleration on higher speed / Rpm.

Definitely not a spark plug issue, my NGK Iridiums are just about 2K Kms old now. Plus the plugs have recently been cleaned during a service.

Definitely looks like a fueling issue, my next steps as of now :-

      1. Check with another Fi fuel pump to see if it runs fine.
      2. Clean throttle body and re-do CO setting.

Out of ideas to try anything else...

Let me know the solution too if you find.

And you were in Mumbai earlier I remember?

Any service center you know that fills rear shocker Nitrox Gas. ?

Sai Service a big name but they din't have machine.
They asked me to change shockers. :/

I left Mumbai 11 years back

I have checked in PBK's in Bangalore, Chennai, Mangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune & Delhi ... ALL have said either there is a problem with their equipment or they don't do NoX recharging. I gave up two years back and bought the Dts-i rear shockers for my bike.

lol 11 years back I was Happie roaming in street with my new Cycle Hero RazorBack !

Sad, for the meantime I got it 2 point up in the air and now no bumpy sounds on road-holes.
So I guess I too have to get it changed only. :/

@antz.bin (Mod) I've seen 1 of his recent post stating he got his shockers refilled. !!
            Hope he reply here !

            • The PBK guys can easily check the Fuel Pump's working. If it's not pumping fuel as per set parameters, it's time to get it changed. Anyway, it's one of the most stable equipement & doesn't get corrupted easily.

And I was riding my Hercules RoxShox FST back then

The problem with recharging is that the seal needs to fit back properly, which is a very tough job. If Antz has done it, would love to hear the details and long term reliability of it.

Yes will be going to PBK over the weekend. I will anyways be ordering a new fuel pump, to keep spare. Coz even if its not conked off now, it will surely go bust sometime in the near future.

At 93K the pump surely I guess did it's job. But a handy pump is a good idea.

ROFL, Sird, that "item" really cracked me up, so now I get it, if it's your GF, we call her item,.. err "heavy item" just kidding. How is the throttle repsonse is it jittery, uneven or the engine revs freely?

If it jitters at low speed, check your fuel feed or if it hesitates go above certain for a speedburst at low speeds, check your clutch plates or clutch settings.

                    LoL ! XD
But she wasn't there that time :P
I seriously meant some "item" xD

Just came back from SVC after wash & teflon.
And after some observation, I saw its loosing the flow @ 3000-3500 RPM & back to smooth @ 3500-4000 RPM nearly.

Its like the bike miss's current. Like when you turn off the ignition when the Bike is on low speed, suddenly it goes down.

Sird, I'd request you to shift base to DTSI, because you don't wanna contradict the guys here. Let the Fi guys be peaceful for sometime.

Coming to your problem, because at low speed, there are usual jitters in many P220s as much as I've driven them. At sub 2 to 1.5 there is this occasional so called "jerk" and fades away once the wrist is opened on smoothly. It doesn't mean any problem necessarily, it's just bread and butter of the bike.

                      Cheers!

In Pune, there is a Company managed BAL (non PBK) SVC in Wakadewadi (next to the Na(rveer) Ta(naji) Wadi Underpass). They are among the best BAL SVCs I have experienced all over India (And I have been to quite a few of them over the years). I have never had to make a follow-up visit to this SVC ever.. i.e. they never left a complaint unattended even though I never stay back when the bike is being serviced there.

I had told this SVC people to refill NOx gas (as preventive maintenance) in the shocker and they told me that they have done it. They charged me under a 100 bucks for it and I could feel *some* difference. This happened a couple of years back (when the bike had around 27odd thousand on the odo) so I don't remember the amount charged properly. At around 38k, I felt that the suspension had become too noisy and was bottoming out. That was the time we first had the gas charged shocks discussion on this thread and we all concluded that maybe nobody can refill that gas.

Accepting the fact that I *may* have been conned last time around, so this time I just told the SVC to set the shocks 3 steps harder and the suspension noises due to bottoming out duly stopped. 2 Months after that, I left for my Leh ride and have been using the bike sparingly ever since my return. But the bottoming out hasn't returned ever since. Its still silent like it should be (at 49k now). So right now, I am really confused what has happened.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

So a 3 step hard change would solve the issue ?

That would only temporarily solve the issue.

I think the factory shock absorbers last the most, the Dtsi shocks have done about 23K kms on my bike and are already feeling as though its time for their death bed

Been running them in the 3rd position from the time it was installed.
