^^ while taking the delivery check if all the electricals are working properly, if there is any foreign sound, if anything is loose, the oil level, fuel level, and take the bike for a drive and see how it behaves, and for run-in for the 1st 1k kms don't go above 4k rpm then the next 600kms till 6-7k rpm and keep the rpm varying, don't stick to one rpm for a long timeThe only thing standing in your way, the ONLY thing you can count on, at any given time.. Is YOU

Patience is key my friend.. When you have waited so long, wait another month and see if it really gets going. Wont really be nice to be stuck with just a month older model, than the new model... And feel what Honda City owners feel every 2-3 years!!!Originally posted by Sauravh View PostI'm totally confused

Hi there,
Since the speculation in November 2011, I've been waiting for this and postponed the idea of purchase.
Now, as the events took turn and no confirmed news of this launch available; I finally decided to buy R-15 tomorrow; and now I see again this news of the new launch.
Now, If I go for the current one and there indeed comes the new R-15 in May.. I don't have words to express my frustration

and if I wait and then it turns to be another rumour... then???
Please suggest what to do
PS: This would be my First bike (Finally earned enough to buy myself a ride
)

Ill Effects of R15's super braking
The other day I was riding my dad's scooter (bajaj super) .....
I was riding mostly at about 30 to 35 kmph.....
took a left turn and was on the route when a HH Passion dude stopped a little ahead of me..... I applied the rear brakes..oh hell, wat applied..I literally stood on the rear brake pedal to stop the scooter but it was of no use.....
banged the bike 4m behind...lol..

...
Thank god ...i wasnt on greater speeds....poor biker....sigpic

Check BRAKES!
This sort of situations are normal.Originally posted by jairaman12 View PostThe other day I was riding my dad's scooter (bajaj super) .....

Hope you got compensation. . .
As, the front parts of your scooter might have been scratched due to that HH Passion. . .

Better check the brakes and be responsible from next time.

Awesome news Buddy!! Thanks a ton!! Was eagerly waiting for something like this...Originally posted by jd666 View PostGuys, spoke to one of my inside men in Yamaha.. Apparently they are launching the new R15 in May. Thats confirmed for now.
Was in a dilema to choose between R15 or CBR, I love R15 but don't like the rear look, if new R15 is indeed launched next month then I will close my eyes and go for it (will save 50K as well).Last edited by shadabk01; 04-15-2011, 11:12 AM.
