@All: Guess you guys missed this earlier! Can you guys please help me on the above?

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

My bike came with the First Aid kit in the side panel (yes, placed there loosely). Saw some more new bikes in the showroom and they had it in the side panel. When my under-seat box is full with other stuff I place it in the side panels and it just doesn't move from there.

If I am not wrong, ignition system for an R15 would consist of the Fuel Injection system and the ECU. They get activated and deactivated along with all the electricals when you operate the ignition key.

          • Hi guys, my R15 had its 5th Service done on Saturday&all (including engine manifold) nuts were tightened. Coolant&engine oil not topped up, so service charges Rs.10 only. Tappets not yet loose. Used the Yamalube chain spray-chain looks white now, but original smoothness has been restored for sure.

However, I was slightly disappointed that my 2 problems weren't solved.
1st is an unknown vibration which comes at high revs, any ideas what it could be? Tappets, Fairing vibes, speedo stay etc.all ruled out.

2nd is something which even the SVC guys haven't ever seen.
After the bike warms up, there is a metallic clicking noise which comes somewhere near the rear disc. It comes once in 10 secs.or so&then disappears when parked for sometime. Does anyone have any idea on this?
I am going to get this thing sorted out soon-need to spend a few hours with them though.

Thanks HydBiker! Will check later today if the side-panel is a better place for the FA Kit!
Regarding the ignition circuit cut-off system, they've given some kind of a flowchart in the manual! There is either something wrong in it, or I fail to undersatnd it completely!

Yeah! Same here man! Adding to your list, I can't seem to get enough of riding it!
Have clocked exactly double of that figure now.. Odo currently reads 114!

@All: How harmful is the sound a bike (kind of a click from the engine/gearbox) makes while turning the ignition off?
My previous bike had it, and I 'm almost sure it was because I ended up stalling it a lot many times (learnt biking on it!). The people at the SVC used to say the sound is normal!
Do any of your R15s make the sound, & how harmful/bad is it for the bike?
Also, can the sound be eliminated somehow?

& I got an SMS from Yamaha today, welcoming me to the Yamaha family.
And they have sent me a "Unique No". Any idea what that is?
Have all of you received such an SMS (or maybe email/letter)?

                  • Thats a unique costumer number every FZ and R15 customer gets. This will help you to enter online competitions and stuff like that .

The system which generates this number is called "TYMIDOL" (correct me if I am wrong)

Its been 10 months since I bought mine and I am due to get it

Oh Cool! I just googled it.. there's something called PYMIDOL! You got an alphabet wrong..
I went to the website but it asks for a username & password. Even if the username is the unique code they've sent me. the password is something which I have no clue about! Have you guys got any idea how/where to get these login details? (www.pymidol.com)

& regarding you not yet having got your code, why don't you drop in a mail to Yamaha. I'm quite sure they'll look into it!
