    If yes on which gear?
I have tried this many a times in my hyperedge & the rev limitter kicks in at 5th gear & I couldn't pass 9k rpm, while in other gears it went till 10.5k rpm (maybe it can go more but not sure haven't tried that as I shifted the gear to 5th at that point).
At what rpm in RTR 160 will the rev limitter kick in?
As far as I remember the RTR doesn't have a rev limiter. I think your engine maxed out at 9k Rpm in 5th. I went upto 11.5k in 4th gear.

First you need to disconnect the Fuel line (the one near petcock) then take out the bolt underneath the seat.
If you push the tank back towards the tail lights and lift it from the front you can see two wires beneath the tank. The big black one is a water hose pipe i think no harm in pulling it open other is an electrical wire can be disconnected easily. Now good to remove the tank. it helps if yo u are low on fuel.

removing the tank is easy there is only one bolt holding it which u can see when u remove the seat. after removing the bolt just hold the tank from front and from the back and slide it outwards towards the rear of the bike.
Thanks to both of you. My tank is half full I'll try it out after it is empty.

Performance is good.... have done 0-60 in 3.3 seconds using the inbuilt timer. Guess 100 also reaches in about 10 seconds.

@vivekpetrohead : I can see that you are trying to reduce the weight of the bike but what went wrong with that half-cut visor!!!
Half cut visor is something i did ..as i like it that way. Thinking of removing the headlight assembly and just make it simple with some projector or something.

What do you mean by maxed out?
Is it a problem of engine which I have to seriously look into? Its just 15k in odo.
Well so far I have got only 126km/hr as my top speed.
Or maybe I should shift the gear to 5th only after ripping to max (11.5k as u mentioned) in 4th gear.
Or do I have to make it run rich to attain this. Because as of now its set to default/optimum by the SVC.
Also I have read somewhere that RTR does have a rev limitter & its based on flywheel.
The other news I have read is RTR 180 doesn't have while RTR 160 has rev limitter.
Also AFAIK rev limitters are there for all bikes (don't know about sports bike, I'm talking about normal bikes for public) as it is required for the longevity of the engine life. I have heard the SVC guys saying the same stuff that RTR has rev limitters.
I dont know which is fact & which is fiction.
Could anyone give me a little better insight into this with some official company documented proof or something from trusted source as it will be really helpful.

Engine being maxed out means the point where your engine simply cannot provide anymore power against the wind and rolling resistance. It defines the limit of the engine. It is perfectly normal don't worry.

Here are some links providing reviews for the RTR which say that it doesn't have a rev limiter.

You are right that rev limiters are required, but when the RTR was introduced TVS intended to come out with performance parts for the RTR so they didn't include a rev limiter.

Rev limiters are provided to cut the power from the engine when it reaches high RPMs as operating the engine at high RPMs causes damage to internal parts.

I know & I Agreed, I am talking about our context, where this guy want REV Limiter....

If you know your Bike & its limitation then i dont find it any reason to burn your engine ...its advantage of not having Limiter in RTR i feel

Correct me if i am wrong ..

OH! Right. Sorry I thougt you were asking me.
I completely agree with you. One of the many advantages of the RTR. It has two characters, when riding sanely we can shift it at 5k RPM. When we want to unleash its power we can rip upto 11k.

Thanks for the links yaar. I also searched out & every blog its written that there are no rev limitters for RTR hyperedge. Previously I had read somewhere in xbhp say an year back that rev limitters are there for 160 & not 180. That's why I thought of querying it out here, if anyone knows the value. Also thanks for explaining the engine getting maxed out stuff. There was heavy winds & I had an heavy bag too along with me when I was traveling & maybe that might be the issue.

Why is teflon coating needed? I've always heard it at car showrooms. But i never figured out what it is used for. Does it save your paint from getting scratched or is it just a polish to bring shine to the paint?

It can prevent small sort of scratches but not the deep ones.
It acts as an extra protective layer on the paint.
Its worth doing especially if your bike is black color.

No Offence bro I was just speaking frankly,

Remember TVS hasn't got any REV Limiter coz they are planning to give up-gradation kit for RTR, which might unleash power beyond Red-Line...

And RTR isn't made for Top/High Speed performance, its for great Mid-Range Torque... one Cannot beat this Menace till 80/kph but after that RTR got no chance...
And Do you think pushing your bike to 12kRPM will Damage Engine Part at sudden ? ? ?
Once in month to push limit with RTR is fine but everyday unleashing its Red line at 4th/5th Cog isn't a Wise move...

Remember "Entry level Racing", this is the bike to improve your Performance & Skills to a Great extent with Amazing Handling...
